On August 17th, 2014, Ironman Mont-Tremblant will be the sixth Ironman event in which Team ReserveAid is represented. This year’s Team will have 19 members racing at the event, most of whom are seasoned Ironman veterans at this point with only 5 Team members are attempting to cross that Ironman finish line for the first time. Of the 19 Team ReserveAid members, 5 have a legitimate shot of earning a qualifying slot for the coveted Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Colin Martin will be attempting to improve upon his blistering 9:34:10 from last year’s IMMT in his quest to qualify in the 25-29yr old Age Group! Colin’s biggest competition in his Age Group may actually come from fellow Team ReserveAid (and Team EMJ) member Nick Giometti… Patrick McCrann will be looking to go back to the World Championships as he represents Team ReserveAid for the first time in 2014. Michigan native, Kori Martini Retzbach, will be gunning for her very own Kona slot along with John Withrow who will be racing in Ironman’s Executive Challenge once again this year.

This year’s team also has some other interesting side stories with the Father/Son duo of Daniel and Patrick Grow racing for family bragging rights. And speaking of bragging rights, the big Clydesdale showdown will be pitting longtime friends and NJ residents’ Paul Armstrong and Greg Kasko in a head to head battle of the big men. This year’s team also has a large foreign contingency with the husband and wife combo of Steve and Brenda Ross Representing Canada, Gareth Doran of Ireland, and William Tian from Australia. Ben Fenton and JT Thompson will be travelling the farthest to the race making the trip to Canada from Colorado where they both reside. Steve Boer will be looking for redemption as he vows to make the finish line of IMMT after coming up a bit short in his Ironman quest last year at Lake Placid. Mike Tokar, from Pittsburgh, and former race car driver Jon Denning will both be competing in their first Ironman event and are excited to be representing Team ReserveAid. Rounding out this year’s team is cancer survivor, John Suh who might just be one of the fastest guys on the team now thanks to his hard work and discipline over the last year!

This team continues to be inspired by the men and women of our military who have a much harder task than simply swimming, biking and running. But, our team is certainly putting their bodies on the line and all they are asking of you is to support their efforts by making a very large (or small) donation to ReserveAid on their behalf. To help our nation’s real heroes, simply click the Donate Now button below.
