Lucas Detor

Chairman & Founder

Lucas Detor is a Senior Managing Director for CarVal Investors, responsible for managing business and product development, including capital formation, investor relations and investment strategy and sourcing. Lucas has also served the U.S. government as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, as well as serving in the U.S. Army Reserves and New York National Guard. Mr. Detor received his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and his B.S. in Accounting from SUNY Albany. He has a great deal of passion for ReserveAid’s mission and feels blessed to be able to serve those who serve us.


Colin M. Adams

Legal Counsel
Morgan Stanley & Co., New York, NY

Colin is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley where he is a legal and credit analyst focusing on distressed debt. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Colin was a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Colin received his J.D. at the UCLA school of Law after receiving an A.B. in Economics and History at Duke University. Colin currently resides in Manhassett, NY with his wife Sarah and their four children Sofia, Pierce, Oliver, and Henry.


Justin Bradburn

CarVal Investors, New York, NY

Justin is a graduate of Southampton University in Britain, where he received his BSc in Biochemistry and Physiology and was a British Army Cadetship Scholar. Justin is a Managing Director at CarVal Investors. Prior to his career in finance, Justin served as an Officer in the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment, a British Army Infantry Regiment for nine years. His service included several counter terrorism tours in Northern Ireland.

He currently resides in New York City.


Mori Gonzalez

JP Morgan Chase & Co, New York, NY

Mori Gonzalez is an Executive Director at JP Morgan in Credit Markets / High Yield Trading. Prior to JP Morgan, Mori spent 12 years at Credit Suisse First Boston also in High Yield Trading.

Mori became a believer of this noble charity dating back to her first invite to the Second Annual ReserveAid Dinner and has since become an integral component as part of the team that puts together the annual Gala event. She is a proud to be on the board and supporting the men and women of the United States Military.


Michael Henderlong

Babson Capital Management, New York, NY

Michael Henderlong is a Managing Director and currently Head of Capital Markets at Babson Capital Management. Prior to his current position he was a Managing Director and Head of New Product Development for Morgan Stanley’s leveraged loans and distressed business. Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in 1991 with a BS in Aviation Business Administration (and holds Pilot Certificates). In 1994, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business with an MBA in Finance. He serves as a board member for the both the Loan Syndications and Trading Assoc. and ERAU’s Industry Advisory Board.


Maha Kiani

Brigade Capital Management

Maha Kiani is an analyst focused on aviation at Brigade Capital Management. Prior to her career at Brigade, she was a senior member of the Private Equity and Hedge Fund practice Deloitte & Touche. Ms. Kiani graduated with from St. Michael’s College, at the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce with a Specialist in Finance & Economics. She is also a member of Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Ms. Kiani comes from three generations in the military and is an avid supporter of all armed forces and the mission of ReserveAid. She currently resides in New York City.


Chris Mawn

Highland Capital Management

Chris Mawn is a Managing Director at Highland Capital Management, L.P. in the Retail Products Group. Previously at Highland, Chris has served in roles as a Director, Trader of high yield bonds, leveraged loans and other credit products, and as a Portfolio Manager in the Distressed and Special Situations Group covering distressed and special situation credit and equity investments.

Prior to joining Highland in December 2003, Chris worked for an international management consulting firm, focusing on M&A growth strategy, strategic planning, post-merger integration, reengineering, cost reduction, and organizational design across a number of industries. Previously, he worked at a large Fortune 500 IT Services Company in sales and marketing, and later corporate strategy. Formerly, Chris served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps attaining the rank of Captain. He received an MBA in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA from Dartmouth College. Chris Mawn currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lake Las Vegas Holdco.


Evan Odim

Napier Park Global Capital, New York, NY

Evan Odim is a Vice President at Napier Park where he co-manages the day to day operations of the Strategic Credit and Structured product funds. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received a BBA in Information Systems. Having never served in the Armed Forces, he supports the cause as a member of Team ReserveAid. Evan currently resides in New Jersey with his wife, Sarah, and three children, Jamie, Joslyn and EJ.


Laurent Renard

JP Morgan Chase & Co, New York, NY

Laurent Renard is an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan. He currently trades high yield bonds and credit derivatives in the High Yield Trading Group. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Laurent served in a similar role at Morgan Stanley. Laurent received an MBA from MIT and a BS from the United States Military Academy. He served five years as an officer in the US Army with assignments throughout Germany, Italy, and the former Yugoslavia.


Mike Scotti

Mike Scotti LLC, Key Biscayne, FL

Mike Scotti is the author of The Blue Cascade: A Memoir of Life after War and the subject of the documentary film Severe Clear (released internationally as This is War). He is a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan, where he served as a United States Marine. Mike has written Op-eds for The New York Times and and has appeared on various programs ranging from those at the BBC to Last Call with Carson Daly. He has spoken at The Council on Foreign Relations and Chicago Ideas Week and holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, where he founded the Military Veterans Club. He is represented by Erin Cox at Rob Weisbach Creative Management.


Gabriel Szerda

CarVal Investors, Minneapolis, MN

Gabriel Szerda is a director for CarVal Investors, responsible for managing high-yield investments. Gabriel received his BS from University of Maryland after retiring from freestyle wrestling. He represented Australia at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Currently, he resides in Minneapolis with his wife Julia and two daughters.


Netty Tsai

Morgan Stanley & Co., New York, NY

Netty Tsai has been an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in Fixed Income Sales for the last thirteen years. Prior to this, she worked at Merrill Lynch. Netty received an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a BA from Skidmore College. Netty has been a strong supporter of ReserveAid since its inception.


John Withrow

CarVal Investors, Minneapolis, MN

John Withrow is a managing director for CarVal Investors, responsible for leading high-yield debt trading. John has never served in the military but both of his grandfathers and many of his friends have served. John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh as well as an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. John lives in Minneapolis with his wife Jessica and their two sons, JT and Luke.



Polly Weidenkopf

Executive Director
Dallas, TX

Polly Weidenkopf served 27 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. During that time she served at Headquarters Marine Corps in Washington, DC as an administrative clerk in the office of the Assistant Chief of Staff, Intelligence and in the Office of the Commandant of the Marine Corps. She then served as the Marine Liaison at Bethesda Naval Hospital. After which, she served as the Administrative Assistant to the Commanding Officer of Armed Forces Police – Washington. After being discharged from active duty, she joined the Marine Corps Reserve in 1976 and became the Reserve Admin Chief at AT(TOW)Co Light in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where she served for 14 years. In 1990, she relocated to Dallas and became the Reserve Admin Chief for Marine Aircraft Group 41. She retired in 2000 at the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. She currently serves as the Marine Corps League Department of Texas Adjutant/Paymaster.

Her awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Active Duty Good Conduct Award, Reserve Service Medal (5 awards) National Defense Medal (2nd award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal.

She is married to Major Nicholas Weidenkopf USAF (Ret) and has four sons and eight grandchildren.


Rose Gault

Dallas, TX

Rose Gault retired from federal government service in 2009 as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Strategic Diversity Integration. Prior to 2009 she served as Finance Director for U.S. Representative Tom Davis(VA-11), as well as in several governmental and corporate capacities both in the United States and abroad. Overseas experiences include Eurocontrol Air Traffic Control in Karlsruhe, Germany and Headquarters Allied Forces Central Europe (NATO) in Brunssum, the Netherlands. In the United States Rose has served as Director of Development for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and as Foundation Executive for the International Association of Chiefs of Police. Presently, she is also President of the Army Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit foundation which supports Army family members in their pursuit of higher education and she is an active volunteer in the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League.

Rose is married to Colonel Jeff Gault, USA (Ret) and has three children and 2 grandchildren.
